Facilities The Hague, Netherlands


This is a hybrid position in our WRI Europe office in the Hague. The role will require at least 3 days per week in office. This will be a 1 year contract with the possibility of extension. 

 

About the Program:

 

The WRI Operations Department strives to make all global officescapableand low risk, enhancing their operational capabilities, establishing sustainable growth through a bond of mutual respect, collaboration and sharing knowledge across the sisterhood of WRI offices. This is done by targeting standards of performance, and measuring efficiency and effectivenessacross all the offices.

 

Job Highlight:

 

Reporting to the Europe Operations Officer, you will provide operational support primarily for The Hague office but will also collaborate with the team across all Europe offices (The Hague, London and Bonn). The operational areas included are Facilities, HR, Finance, and IT. You will ensure efficient and effective processes are in place and will provide hands-on support with all facility processes for The Hague office. You will integrate equity into your work. You will be supported by the Europe Operations Team which is based in the Hague and in London.

 

What will you do:

 

Office Space and Facilities (60%):

 

  • Work with the Operations Officer to ensure effective maintenance of the office facilities in the Hague, coordinating with the building managers
  • Coordinate and ensure Fire Marshall and First Aid training is given annually to required staff and health and safety measures are in place in our Hague office
  • Help with monthly payment of invoices and assist new vendors in using the vendor portal, along with other finance tasks
  • Work with the IT team to ensure the purchase of any equipment needed in the office and ensure IT inventory is updated
  • Coordinating the repair and maintenance of the printer, laptops, and any other IT equipment
  • Provide on-site support to staff using meeting rooms with AV requirements
  • Responsible for ordering coffee, milk, stationary and other office supplies and managing the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies

 

Sustainability Work – Europe and Global (15%):

 

  • Support the Europe Sustainability work, helping with research and office initiatives

 

Other (15%):

 

  • Assist HR and the Talent Acquisition teams with the internship program in the Hague office
  • Input into operational process improvements, proposing new ways forward using critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Support preparation of process documentation

 

Events (10%):

 

  • Work with the Organizing Committee to help organize and support office events.

 

What will you need:

 

  • Education: You have completed a bachelor’s degree in business administration, environmental management, human resources, operations or similar. Additional experience is accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience: You have 1+ year of full-time relevant work experience 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Experience in a service or customer-oriented role
  • Demonstrated interest in IT systems or processes
  • Experience working in an international environment is desirable
  • Languages: You are proficient in written and spoken English. The ability to work in Dutch to some degree would is desirable.

 

Potential Salary:

 

€ 38,000 - €45,000

 

Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.
